Hello Scouts! This Troop Meeting we will hold elections for Patrol Leaders. Troop meetings will now have the following format:

  • Flag Ceremony
  • Announcements
  • Break up the Troop into Patrols where the Patrols will elect a Patrol leader, discuss their plans for the next meeting and discuss outdoor activities.
  • Closing Announcements.

To aid in the social distancing requirements and ensure all scouts excel, Patrols are going to be reogranized to the diagram below. Think about where you are and what group you will need to report to. See you Thrusday!

We will continue to meet in person for rank advancement, however this week we may or may not have a virtual meeting afterwards for a merit badge that is yet to be determined. This week New Scouts will be coming up with Patrol Names, Patrol Yells, and Patrol Songs, so start getting creative!

Westlands Park in accordance with the Tri-County recommendations regarding group meetings has permitted our Troop to hold Troop Meetings at Westlands Park each Thursday. In order to keep this privilege, we will need to adhere strictly to the following rules:
● Face masks must be worn at all times.
● Group size must be no greater than 10 people.
● Within these small groups, social distancing must be observed.
● Any shared materials must be disinfected.

A message from your SPL Daniel. The past two weeks we have held in-person Troop Meetings. I am glad to announce that due to the caution exhibited by our Scouts and Adult Leaders – we are able to continue to have our Troop Meetings in person at Westland Park. Our meeting this week is from 6:00 to 7:00pm.

Scouts will split into groups:

  • New Scouts working on the Scout and Tenderfoot Ranks
  • Scouts working on the 1st and 2nd Class Ranks
  • Older scouts whou need to have merit bage or other requirements.

This week, First Aid requirements!

At 7:30pm to 8:30pm Mrs Gibbons will continue the ZOOM meeting for the Entrepreneurship Merit Badge. All Scouts working on the merit badge can join using the normal ZOOM meeting.

CONGRATULATIONS to Janden for sucessfully completein your Eagle Project. Thanks to all of the Scout volunteers that helped make the Project sucessful.

Meeting Information

The meeting will start at 6pm at Westland Park. The meeting will adjourn at 7pm.

Groups will be as follows:

  • New scouts working on the Scout and Tenderfoot Ranks.
  • Scouts working on 1st and 2nd Class Ranks
  • Older Scouts who need help to have merit badges or other requrements for Star, Life and Eagle rank.

New Scouts will meet with Mr. Wilcox from 6pm to 7pm. Ms. Sainson will finish up the Law Merit badge from 7pm to 7:15pm. Mr. Jackson will start the Communications Merit badge after Ms. Sainson completes law.

A note to all scouts working on the Communications Merit bage! Please study the merit badge book and be ready to discuss them with Mr. Jackson at the meeting!
