The first step is to fill out the application and submit a $500 deposit ASAP as the selection process is underway and when the total # of participates from the US reaches 560 youth, they will close the registration. The US applicants are approximately 50% full as of this week.

Hello Scouts,

Few important items today. Please read.

Sunday, January 23, 7:00 pm – Adult Leaders Meeting at Hope. All adults welcome. Please, help us chart the path for our troop.

Thursday, January 27 – Court of Honor. Families encouraged to attend. Scouts should arrive 15 minutes early to help set-up.

February 4 – 6 – Klondaree at Golden Gate State Park – Council campout with scouting skill competition. Should be a fun opportunity to interact with other troops and enjoy a great scouting experience. Sign up ASAP on the troop website so we can get an idea of numbers.

Sunday, February 6 – Scout Sunday. Hope Methodist Church has requested scouts come to provide a flag ceremony, act as ushers, help with the service, and do the reading. This is a great opportunity for us to give back to the church that hosts us and show our scouting spirit. I hope several scouts will be able to attend. Please, let Mr. Wilcox or Mr. Jackson know if you will be able to be there.

Scouts who are interested in joining Order of the Arrow should speak with Nicholas. Order of the Arrow is an elite scouting service organization designed for older scouts to further their scouting experience. To qualify, scouts must be First Class and have 15 camping nights over the past two years, including one longer summer camp. Scouts are then elected by their troop. We are still working on a date for our troop’s election but hope to have it soon.

Please, let me know if you have any questions.
