Hello everyone! This week, we will be meeting at Westlands Park STARTING at 7 pm and ending at 8:30 pm.

The Wildfire Patrol will be doing Flags, and we will be playing Capture the Flag.

Turtles/Treagles: Joining other Patrol
Valkyries: Signs, Signals, and Coding
Gladiators: Rowing/Canoeing
Wildfire: Citizenship + Leadership Rank Advancement

Starting with this upcoming meeting, we will be moving the start time of meetings to 7 pm and end at 8:30 pm.

We will also begin keeping a registry for those who have had their COVID vaccine. This is completely optional, but if you would like to show you are vaccinated so that the Troop has that for future planning, it would be extremely helpful. Mrs. Gibbons will be managing it and if you want to be added to the list of people, please speak with her.

Face Masks for all meetings will still be REQUIRED.

Upcoming Events:

June 5: Hike at Parmalee Loop Trail in Mt Falcon Park near Indian Hills for scouts attending Sea Base. All scouts are welcome to come whether they are attending Sea Base or not. If you would like to join, please complete an Orange Card on the Troop website. Meet at Hope Church at 7:45am. Questions ask Mrs. Miller.

July 27-July 3: The Troop will attend Camp Dobbins.

July 6-12: A group of older scouts will be attending Sea Base.

July 16-18: Peach Campout

August 5-7: Rafting Trip

September 12: 14er campout

October 1-3: Golden Gate Campout

July 7, 2022 (next year!): We are going to Philmont as a Troop on July 7 2022 for a 12 day trek. Scouts must be 14 at time of departure (or 13 and have completed 8th grade) and First Class. It will require a $100 non-refundable deposit for each slot. If you are interested, talk to Mr. Wilcox ASAP.

Hello everyone this week we will be meeting in the Parking Lot of Hope Methodists Church for Harrison’s Eagle Scout Court of Honor. From 6-6:30 Pm we will be having the normal troop meeting with announcements. Beginning at 6:30 we will be having The Court of Honor Ceremony beginning with flags and ending at 7:45 Pm. PLEASE Bring a chair for yourself.

Important Announcements from the PLC:

The troop will also be going to Camp Dobbins from June 27- July 3rd. 

A group of older scouts will be attending Sea Base on July 6-12th.

We are doing the Peach Campout during July on the 16-18.

August 5-7 we will have a rafting trip

September 12th we will be doing a 14er campout

October 1-3rd we will be doing a campout at Golden Gate Campsite

There will also be a talk for the Scouts going on the Lost Creek Wilderness Backpacking trip by Mr. Elwood. And a meeting for the Cub Scout Campout this Saturday .

During the meeting on the 27th we will be hosting Harrison’s Eagle Scout Court of Honor following the first 30 minutes of announcements.

May 21st to the 23rd the troop will be doing a backpacking trip at Lost Creek Wilderness. Sign up for the Backpacking Campout is now CLOSED due to limited group size at the campsite. There will be a talk by Luke Elwood on Thursday to discuss the backpacking trip.

May 22nd-23rd the Pack 351 and 345 will be holding a campout to celebrate their crossovers at the Cherry Creek Reservoir. Sign ups for that are closed. It will start around 2 pm on Saturday and will end around 11 am on Saturday. We will be trying to give information on how scouts will help especially in stations, through Email and a Discussion on Thursday during the Meeting.

May 23rd-We will be holding our June PLC at 6:00 Pm where all Scouts holding Leading Leadership Position are required to attend and other people are welcome to come. So we can discuss the following Month’s Meetings, Upcoming events, and Other Logistics. Following that we will be holding a Life to Eagle discussion with Pizza for People who are Life Rank.

In an attempt to shorten our announcements at the meetings, I am going to begin sending an update after the meetings. Please read these so you know all the fun activities we have coming up.

1) Peaceful Valley Campout – April 23 – 25. We will be doing an Olympic-style patrol competition including scouting skills and fun games. If you want to attend, sign up on the troop website: http://troop345denver.org/events/orangecard/. Deadline to sign up is April 16.

2) Troop Shed Move – Sunday, April 11 at 2:00 pm. We are moving our equipment into a new troop shed (across the yard). If we have a number of scouts there it should take less than an hour, so please plan to attend.

3) Court of Honor – Thursday, April 29 at 6:00 pm at the church. This is an event for families to celebrate all the accomplishments of our scouts over the past six months. Please plan to join. More details to come. Scouts should have all merit badges and and rank advancement complete and turned into Mrs. Miller by April 22 in order to be acknowledged at the Court of Honor.

4) There With Care Service Project – Anyone who signed up for the There With Care Project, please bring your items to the next meeting or drop them at the Wilcox house.

5) Any scouts interested in a leadership position or a new leadership position, please speak with our new SLP, or me.

6) We have realigned our patrols. The patrols now are:
