Hello scouts and parents,

This week we will be continuing the Citizenship in the Nation and Leatherwork merit badges, and working on rank advancement. The Nighthawks will be doing flags, and the game will be Ninja. There is a PLC after the meeting.

Our next few upcoming things:

— On February 12 (next Sunday), there is the Scout Sunday at Hope Church. We need scouts to serve as ushers, greeters, and color guard (including a caller) – if you are thinking to attend please either speak to me or Mr. Wilcox at this week’s meeting or send one of us an email. This is a great way for scouts to show their support for the church that supports us and our reverence. If you are attending, please meet at Hope by 9:30 on the 12th. (If you prefer, you can also attend Scout Sunday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, which no longer has a scout troop.)

— On March 10 – 11 we have our annual FUNdamentals overnight at Hope, this is for the new scouts, but we need older scouts to help.

— On March 31 we’ll have a Peaceful Valley Campout.

— The signup for NYLT is now open: (https://scoutingcolorado.org/camps/tahosa-high-adventure-base/national-youth-leadership-training/). This is a week-long leadership experience that is highly recommended for all scouts. To attend, scouts must be 13 years old, First Class, have completed ILST, and have a scoutmaster recommendation, so if you are interested, please speak with Mr. Wilcox.
