Hello scouts and parents,

This week is really the start of Patrol Month! During Patrol Month, there will be patrol competitions with points for attendance, wearing your uniform, doing service, and completing scouting skills challenges. This week’s challenge is first-aid. Here is the flyer with the information about Patrol Month: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1yjrLC8P7PkEiB6UVMEy6LZt_rfiGihEv_ndrU8LlJqA/edit?usp=sharing. It also had the patrol assignments if you’ve forgotten which patrol you are in. At this week’s meeting there will also be Patrol Leader elections.

Our next few upcoming things:

— On April 22 there is the Good Turn for Ecology Day (aka Earth Day Trash Pick up in Cherry Creek Res) from 7:30 am to Noon. It’s a great chance to get conservation service hours and help clean up our state park. Please sign up here (they want us to register participants in advance) https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F0E4AAAAD22AA8-good.

— On April 29 at 9:00 am there is a Lions Club Convention Flag Ceremony, we need scouts to perform the morning flag ceremony. Please let Mr. Wilcox know if you are interested in helping.

— If you are attending summer camp at Camp Dobbins this summer, please complete your merit badge selections on the following spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1s4-hSXRDs6N5-hCWlL8sNrm6hbvgXJWrTq86Hk-4-qk/edit?usp=sharing. See the e-mail from Monday if you need instructions.

— The signup for NYLT is now open: (https://scoutingcolorado.org/camps/tahosa-high-adventure-base/national-youth-leadership-training/). This is a week-long leadership experience that is highly recommended for all scouts. To attend, scouts must be 13 years old, First Class, have completed ILST, and have a scoutmaster recommendation, so if you are interested, please speak with Mr. Wilcox.
